By their own admission no less, FISC are totally reliant on what the Government reports to them on the activity of the NSA. So much for being an independent governing body. I can’t help but feel that Keys assurances here that the GCSB will be monitored by a previously practicing judge is really going to cut the muster here either. No doubt the judge will be gaged by whatever the Government of the day chooses to report. That, and the fact the judge is assigned by the PM doesn’t look very independent to me. Keep trying John ….
